Even after 36 hours have passed after the flood in Bhotekoshi on Tuesday morning, the details of how many trucks, containers and electric vehicles in the dry port were washed away in the flood have not been made public.

The district administration has informed that none of the officials of the customs and Nepal Truck Container Transport Service have the exact details of the lost and buried vehicles. Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, Arjun Paudel, said that 15 to 20 vehicles were found buried in the customs yard, but the exact details of the lost vehicles could not be collected. No one has the exact details of how many cars were washed away in the dry port and how many cars were parked on the side of the road and how many cars sank in the Chinese territory across the customs.

Arjun Sapkota, president of Nepal Truck Container Transport Service, said that although they have collected reports of 55 trucks and containers including one vehicle containing cloth, shoes and bag-making materials, the number could be more. He said, 'Even though the traders could not go to the scene, the details of how many cars were swept away have not been received.' Sapkota said that they received information that 15 to 16 trucks and containers had sunk in the Chinese territory beyond the customs and said that 'one of them was rags and all the others were cars with apples and garlic'.

According to the details collected by Nepal Truck Container Transport Service, apples were brought in 27 vehicles out of the total number of vehicles that were swept away. He said that some of the vehicle owners could not even get the details of where their vehicle is   because the electricity  supply has also been affected, the telephone service in Rasuwagadhi has not been completely disrupted, but it has been affected. This also means that traders and truck container owners are not able to get the exact details of the damage there. Chief District Officer Paudel said that they are working on communication from the Chinese border.
