CPN-UML Chief Whip Mahesh Kumar Bertaula has asked the Speaker to remove the matter from the records of the Parliament saying that the Prime Minister's visit to Spain was misleading.

In Tuesday's meeting of the House of Representatives, Chief Whip Bertaula objected to the statement made by the MPs saying that the people who accompanied the Prime Minister on his visit to Spain were staying there.

In the meeting of the Parliament, National Independent Party MP Sovita Gautam drew the attention of the House saying that some people who went on a visit to Spain with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli have not returned.

Regarding the same matter, Chief Whip Bertaula has challenged misleading, factual and objectionable issues to be presented in the Parliament and to prove it. He has demanded that the matter be removed from the record of the Parliament.

Bertaula said, "Some honorable members have put very misleading, factual and objectionable issues in the Parliament." The right to speak has been misused by honorable members. Statements aimed at the Prime Minister that some people have stayed in Spain while participating in the Spanish program or have not returned on visit visas were made through the Honorable Parliament. Such matters are baseless, delusional and fanciful. It is unfair for the responsible parliamentarians to make such baseless statements from such a dignified parliament. Such matters should be expunged from the record of Parliament. Whose people did not go back with the Prime Minister, the honorable members who said those things should be informed through the Parliament. I want to challenge it.

Chief whip Bertaula has also warned against abusing the right to speak.
