Two people who were trapped in the flood between Nuwakot's Vidur municipality ward number-1 and 9 have been rescued by helicopter.

According to Chief District Officer of Nuwakot Arjun Paudel, they went to collect firewood on Tuesday morning and got stuck in the middle after a sudden flood.

Maiti Tamang and Palden Tamang were rescued by the helicopter of the Nepalese army, said Poudel.

They went to get firewood and sat on the mound after the flood. Later, when the flood was increasing, he climbed a tree and waited for rescue.
