The names of the members of the special committee to investigate the change in the provision of 'cooling off period' in the Federal Civil Service Bill have been finalized. The special committee to investigate the errors in the report of the Federal Civil Service Bill has 2/2 members from Nepali Congress and UML and 1/1 member from CPN (Maoist Centre), National Independence Party (RASWPA) and National Democratic Party (RPP).
The members of the
committee are Jeevan Pariyar and Sushil Thing from Nepali Congress, Narayan Prasad Acharya and Ishwari Gharti from UML, Madhav Sapkota from Maoist Center, Ganesh Parajuli from RSP and Roshan Karki from RPP .
On Monday, after the discussion with Speaker Devraj Ghimire, the parties gave the list of members from their respective parties. The list was published by the Secretariat of the Speaker. The inquiry committee has been given 21 days time.
According to Rule 180 of the Rules of the House of Representatives, a special investigation committee is about to be formed. Rule 180 provides that a special committee can be formed as needed in the House of Representatives for bills or other tasks of a special, sensitive or serious nature.
