National Independent Party MP Manish Jha has commented that by changing the provision of 'cooling off period' in the Federal Civil Bill, a scandalous story has been woven into the parliamentary practice.
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, MP Jha said that the most serious and important provisions of the bill were tampered with to deceive the parliamentarians. He said that Nepali Congress should not be given the leadership of the investigation committee formed regarding the change in the cooling off period system. He said that their agitation is continuing even in the case of visit visa.
He said, 'Our movement regarding the organized crime that is taking place through the visit visa continues. While that agitation continued, a scandalous story was woven into parliamentary practice. That is very different from what the committee chairman proposed about the cooling period. And the difference came here by tampering with the very core of the issue which was the most serious and important. We are deceived by saying that it will not happen. We have learned that a parliamentary inquiry committee is being formed on this, and we will also agree to it. But you have made various proposals that the name of the person who is being pointed at should be formed as a committee. That has been forgotten.
The Rashtriya Swadantra Party and the Rashtriya Prajatantra Party have been obstructing the Parliament for a long time demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar and the formation of a commission of inquiry on the visit visa case.
