According to existing laws, if someone is guilty, they should not be exempted because they are Congress: Mahamantri Thapa

Nepali Congress General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that according to the current law, if any person is guilty, he should not be exempted just because he is a Congress member.

Speaking at the central working committee meeting on Monday, General Minister Thapa said that the Congress has a tradition of believing in the rule of law and the law.

'We believe in the rule of law. Therefore, if someone is guilty by his actions, he should not be exempted. No one should be caught innocent. If someone is guilty and he is a Congress, no matter what crime, the law convicts him, no one should be exempted because he is a Congress.'

He said that if someone is tried to be convicted because he is Congress, the party will defend him.
