Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badriprasad Pandey has said that the area of Tribhuvan International Airport is narrow.

He said that since the airport area is narrow and the terminal building is close to the airport, people arrive at the terminal building quickly and it seems like it takes a long time to bring the luggage.

He said that in other countries it would take time to get off from Jahanj and since the Tribhuvan International Airport is small, it seems that he had to wait for a long time.

The capacity of Tribhuvan International Airport is to handle 4.5 million passengers, but this year 9.5 million passengers have already been handled, he informed.  He said that the government is serious about making

quick and effective. Minister Pandey said, "Our airport, our terminal is all in a cramped condition. It's close. It takes a lot of time for a person to get off a plane and reach the baggage claim area in other countries. Our connection is close, people will arrive immediately.

Minister Pandey informed that the problem has arisen because the Chinese embassy will do verification for the tourists going to Maan Sarovar without prior notice.
