After the death of Deepak Bohora of RPP who was elected from Rupandehi-3 in November 2079, this area became vacant. Lekhnath Gayre, a resident of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-19, Motipur, has announced that he will run as an independent candidate.
Butwal's young businessman and social activist Gayre announced his first candidacy at a press conference on Sunday. He said that he is going to run as a candidate as he thinks he is qualified for that, as the distaste for big political parties has increased and the people are looking for honest, independent and young candidates. He clarified that he is not yet affiliated to any political party.

Ghanshyam Bhusal from Maoist Center and CPN United Socialists and medical professional Kamal Bhandari are discussed. Supporters of Balen Shah, mayor of Kathmandu from the Independent, are also rumored to be candidates. However, it has not been decided who will rise.
