Important question in the Congress meeting: What is the minimum basis for staying in the government?

Nepali Congress spokesperson Prakasharan Mahat has said that what is the minimum basis for staying in the government should be determined.

Speaking at the central working committee meeting on Sunday, leader Mahat said that the party should be serious about the government as it is a coalition government.

He said, 'This is a coalition government, everything can be done as the Congress says. But now it is difficult to sit, and it is difficult even not to sit. But what is the minimum basis for staying in the government? It is necessary to prepare that.'

He said that the Congress ministers in the government should perform better than the ministers of other parties and give a positive message to the people. Spokesperson Mahat asked to pay serious attention to the declining base of the party. He said that if the party does not clearly and strongly present its core values, especially religious and cultural identity, it will suffer serious damage.

'We represent people who believe in Hindu, Buddhist, Kirant, natural worship religion and culture. This is the right to the center of the party. Communists reject religion. But we are believers. This is the basis of our party, it is necessary to protect the rights of those who follow every religion,' he said.
