Central Member of Nepali Congress and Member of House of Representatives Bimalendra Nidhi has alleged that the central administrative building of Rajarshijanak University was not allowed to be built due to political interference.
Leader Nidhi alleges that the people's representatives elected from Dhanusha Constituency No. 3 and 4 did not allow Nagarine Municipality to become Fulgama.
In a press conference in Janakpurdham on Saturday, leader Nidhi said that an agreement has been reached with Guthi Sansthan to build 13 bighas of land in Phulga. But some leaders put pressure on the education minister and he complained that the central building was not allowed to be built.
'First we looked for land for the central building in Janakpur. No land was found,' said Needhi, 'Now there is land in Phulgama. But it is not allowed to be.' He said that the amount of 80 million for the construction of the building of the university, which is fully owned by the federal government, was not allowed due to various reasons.
Rajarshijanak University's Act provides for Ramsagar Ramswaroop Multipurpose Campus (RATAB) in Janakpurdham, Siraha and Saptari as base campuses, but it was stopped due to political interference.
University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Amar Prasad Yadav said that the building could not be constructed due to the delay in the University Grants Commission's permission. He said that there is a provision in the law to have a central office in Dhanusha district.
