The Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Chetnarayan Acharya, has said that by utilizing the forest area, consumers should be mobilized and connected with production, income generation and employment. He said that the state government will develop the forest as a means of production and income.

"Leaves are being wasted in the forest now, let's mobilize the consumers and collect them and make organic manure," Chief Minister Acharya said while observing the forest nursery produced by the Division Forest Office in Sandhikhark Municipality-2 Vihar, "Community Forest Consumer Committees across the district should be widely mobilized to collect leaves and make them compost."

Acharya has requested the forest office to conduct a campaign to collect leaves for all community forest user committees across the district. 

Acharya suggested to the forest officials that they should not only plant saplings in the forest, but also protect them by producing wood, herbs, and fruits to expand the local people as a source of enterprise, employment and income. 

Chief Minister Acharya was briefed by Mohan Shrestha, Head of Division Forest Office, about the state of forest and plant production. Keshar Khadka, information officer of the forest office, said that the target is to plant trees in an area of ​​63 hectares in the current financial year. 1 lakh 63 thousand annual and multi-year plants produced by establishing nurseries at six locations are in preparation. Khadka informed the Chief Minister that 20,500 Timurka and 12,900 Tejpat plants have been planted so far. 

1 lakh 83 thousand 830 plants of 32 species have been produced, according to the Division Forest Office.
