Congress central member Ajay Babu Sivakoti has demanded that central member Mohan Bahadur Basnet's speech against General Minister Gagan Thapa be violent and chaotic and be removed from the party's record.
Speaking at the ongoing Central Committee meeting, Sivakoti said that the party should not remain silent on such expressions.
'Should thin-skinned people in politics flee just because they show big thighs and arms? Are we going to make the party a wrestling ground? If not, if the party is unable to stop it even if the party cannot stop it in the name of Chief Minister Gagan Thapa, what kind of practice are we trying to go towards?, he asked.
Sivakoti also asked the Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba a question, "Chairman, how long will this chaos last?" What message are we trying to convey to the new generation by keeping the indecent topic in the party record? Such an irresponsible and chaotic statement should be removed from the record of the party.
Referring to the expression of Ravi Lamichhane, who is in custody pending trial in the co-operative fraud case, Basnetjeu presented himself in the same style as Lamichhane said, 'He also has the file of Gagan Thapa'. If there is a file, submit it to the legal body, don't hesitate. Why show extra love against Thapa by claiming that there is a file involved in corruption?" He added, 'What is happening now is due to your actions. Do self-examination without blaming others. You have no license to discredit the party.'
