Nepali Congress MP Hridayram Thani has said that there is a conspiracy in the provision of 'cooling off period' from the state administration committee.
Speaking at the meeting of the State Order and Good Governance Committee on Wednesday, he claimed that there was a big fraud and conspiracy during the drafting of the cooling period law. He mentioned that there is not only one or two people involved in this work, but a large group.
According to MP Thani, during the cooling period, he saw the staff playing Deusi Bhailo and said that at that time, the chairman of the committee was a person considered to be a bigot, so he could not shirk his responsibilities. He asked the chairman of the committee, Ramhari Khatiwada, not to say 'I have no information'.
He said, 'There has been a lot of fraud and conspiracy regarding the cooling period. I am saddened to hear that there has been a conspiracy by the State Administration Committee, as I myself have been a frequent participant in the committee meetings. The cooling period is similar to what we have. You are an old man in the committee, why couldn't you pay attention to that? You are the chairman of the Tata-Batha. It has also been seen that the staff played Deusi Bhailo.'
MP Thani commented that this incident has lost the dignity of Parliament.
