Nepali Congress leader Mahesh Acharya recalled that Lok Nayak late Girija Prasad Koirala had all the qualities needed to build a party.
On the occasion of Koirala's 102nd birth anniversary, Leader Acharya said that Girijababu was a top politician who succeeded in running power by connecting from the workers to the people.
He said, 'Looking at his work, Girijababu had all the qualities needed to build a party. Girijababu, who has been continuously involved in the party since the age of 21, remained with the people from the leadership of the labor movement in 2003 until the key of power was handed over to Prachanda in 2006.
Leader Acharya said that Koirala is a leader who has gone through four stages realizing that running a political party is not only with the people. Girijababu's ability was to document policies and programs to address them and to coordinate with the government to implement them.'
In the event presided over by Pratima Gautam, central member of Nepali Congress and MP, she recalled that Girijababu was a leader who could bring not only the faction within his party but also other parties to the agenda of the state.
Similarly, senior journalist Vishnu Nishthuri expressed his concern that the previous burden of Congress is ending. He said, "Earlier, the Congress had culture, knowledge, ideas, and faith." That is what made the Congress. Now they are not there, the influence of money has increased.'
