CPN (Maoist Centre) chief whip Hitraj Pandey has said that there is a conspiracy about 'cooling off period'. Speaking at the meeting of the State Order and Good Governance Committee on Wednesday, he claimed that the issue of cooling period has been going on since the past and not today and the current situation is not only manipulation but a planned conspiracy.

He said that if we want to improve the country, we should look at the face of Mother Nepal and not at him.

He said that there is no such thing as 'unknowing error' and said that there is a need to investigate and take action against those involved in this matter .

Chief Whip Pandey said, 'Cooling is not today's issue. It's not just flirting, it's conspiracy. Roles from Chief Secretary to Joint Secretary need to be clear. I have seen and spoken to their faces in every day's meeting. If we want to improve the country, we should look at the face of Mother Nepal, not at ourselves. This error is not inadvertent. It should be investigated who is involved.'

He objected to the bill not being read to the committee members at the end.
