The number of foreign workers in the Nepali labor market is increasing: Industry Minister Bhandari

Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister Damodar Bhandari has said that the number of foreign workers in Nepali labor market is increasing. Speaking at a program held in Kathmandu on Monday, he said that Nepal's labor and capital markets are currently shrinking.

Saying that the capital market is not buzzing, Industry Minister Bhandari said that Nepal's labor market is also not expanding as expected. He said that the labor market of Nepal is being gradually expanded by others rather than Nepalese. He said that the education system could not provide what Nepal's labor market was looking for.

He said, 'Today Nepal's labor and capital markets are shrinking. The capital market could not be buzzing. Similarly, Nepal's labor market also failed to become the labor market we expected. If we look at the labor market, today the labor market is gradually expanding its population rather than the Nepalese. Why is this? Our education system is not able to provide what Nepal's labor market is looking for.

Minister Bhandari said that this is also the reason why the youth who have completed higher education in Nepal do not see a future in the country. He said that the government has introduced a new program in the budget of the next financial year called "studying and earning".
