The parliamentary hearing of three persons recommended to the Supreme Court judges has ended. The trial of one member of the Justice Council has also ended. However, the parliamentary hearing committee will not approve or reject the decision immediately after the hearing.
Monday's meeting of the parliamentary hearing committee heard the recommendation of Supreme Court judge Shantisingh Thapa and the recommendation of judicial council member Mahesh Kumar Nepal.
The trial of Meghraj Pokharel and Srikant Paudel, who were recommended to be judges of the Supreme Court, was over on Sunday. MPs have said that even though the
hearing is over, the approval or rejection decision will not be made on Monday. According to the MPs of UML, Congress and RSWP who are members of the committee, there is no situation to reach a decision in Monday's meeting as there is a theoretical discussion in the committee.
Generally, after the hearing is over, the parliamentary hearing committee gives a decision. This time, the MPs said that the theoretical discussion started after the hearing was over.
