The government has constituted a Debt Recovery Tribunal under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary of the Supreme Court Kriti Bahadur Basnet to take preliminary action and dispose of cases related to debt recovery of cooperatives.
Government Spokesperson and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Prithvisubba Gurung announced the decisions of the cabinet meeting held on June 13 and informed that it was decided to form a tribunal under the chairmanship of Basnet with Basantraj Puri (Dhankuta) and Gobind Sharma Gaihre (Tanahun) as members.
The meeting also approved the temporary posting of three officer-level posts required for the Debt Recovery Tribunal in the financial year 2081/82.
