The students have demonstrated demanding that there should be a session of Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh (Nevisangh), the student organization of Nepali Congress. Before the central working committee meeting of the party on Monday, the leaders of the New Union held a demonstration at the central office Sanepa.
The student leaders who participated in the demonstration said, 'I am due to join the union, when is my session? They demonstrated with placards such as "I am the New Union held hostage by my party, I am the New Union of the Democratic Party which has not held a convention for 9 years".
They protested by covering their body and face with black cloth. They have demanded that the current leadership of the Union Association, which cannot fulfill the responsibilities given by the mother party, should be dismissed and a new working committee should be formed according to the law.
He asked the chairman and party officials not to give empty speeches that they will make a garden by cutting nurseries and asking them why they would postpone the convention without any basis.
