Iran's judiciary has announced that at least 71 people died in an Israeli attack on Evin Prison in Tehran, the capital of Iran, last week.

The victims of the June 23 attack included prison staff, recruits, inmates, visiting family members and residents of nearby buildings, Judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir said, citing Judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir.

Jahangir said that Israel has once again proved its lack of commitment to international law through the terrorist and brutal attack on the prison.

On June 13, Israel launched massive airstrikes on various areas of Iran, including nuclear and military sites. After 12 days of fighting, a ceasefire has been reached between Iran and Israel.
