Janardan Sharma, Deputy General Secretary of the Maoist Center has said that the number of civil servants should be cut by half. During the discussion on the Federal Civil Service Bill in the House of Representatives, MP Sharma said that the number of employees in the civil service should be reduced.

In the Sunday meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Sharma said that the permanent staff system is only governing but the results are not visible. His proposal was to cut down the number of employees and hire contract employees.

Sharma said that the number should be reduced to end the situation where the country cannot afford even ordinary expenses but has to spend a large amount of money on employee salaries and service facilities. "In the case of non-payment of ordinary expenses, I have been holding the opinion that heavy employees should be cut in half. This bill should also address that. "There is no need for an ugly structure without results," he said.

Sharma said that the executive head should be responsible for governing the country and that the employees are running the government from table to table. The executive role of the country, the authority is vested in the Prime Minister. When the Prime Minister has to rule, there is a table-to-table rule,' he said. MP Sharma said that the bill should pay attention to the implementation of federalism. "If the rights of the provinces and local levels are kept at the center even now, it should be serious because it will be judged that federalism has not been implemented and we are not honest about federalism," he said.
