Ram Kumari Jhankri, the leader of CPN United Samajwadi Party, has said that there is a crisis in the party and it needs to be reorganized. She insisted that an 'early convention' should be held as there is a crisis over the party president from a legal and constitutional point of view. He said this while speaking at the Lumbini Province meeting of the CPN-S Affiliated Youth Association of Nepal.
She said, 'Now you can't walk with a dead body on your shoulder.' CPN (S) Chairman and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has released 3.5 million bail from the special court in the corruption case.
When he was the Prime Minister of Nepal, the Commission for Abuse of Authority filed a case against him on 22nd of June against 93 people including him for embezzlement by allowing Patanjali Yogpeeth and Ayurveda Company to buy land at a limited discount through the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Jhankri said that the party leadership is in crisis and said, 'Let's hold an early convention. Let's choose the leadership from the hall. If not, you will not form this party if you are going to form this party by contesting elections from the central committee that was created by moving the voter list.'
