On the occasion of National Paddy Day, planting has been done at Rashtrapati Bhavan Sheetal Niwas.

President Ramchandra Paudel and his wife Savita Paudel also participated in the planting program organized by the President's Office.

Inaugurating the planting, President Paudel modernized agriculture, only the basis of livelihood  Instead, he emphasized that it should be made commercial. He said that he participated in the planting as a symbol to encourage the culture of respect for labor in all fields, including agriculture, and to encourage rice production.

He said that the leading farmers should be respected as food donors to make agriculture known as a pillar of employment depending on the agricultural profession.
