Chairman of Maoist and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that promotion of national capital, good governance and prosperity are the basic mantras of his party.

During the secretariat meeting and interactive training program held here on Saturday of Federation of Nepal Industry and Trade, he said that during his tenure in the government, there was a planned effort to promote productive national capital for the overall economic transformation of the country.

According to the private secretariat of President Dahal, he emphasized on the promotion of national capital and said that he is focused on maintaining good governance. 

Recalling that major infrastructure projects that are directly related to people's livelihood have been promoted, Chairman Dahal said, 'While leading the government, we brought the concept of projects such as Hulaki Highway, Madhyapahari Lokmarg, North-South 'Corridor'. Those projects have brought great changes in the standard of living of the people. The people of Rukum and Baglung have already experienced the changes brought by Madhyapahari Lokmarg. We have also decided to open eight northern ports, which has helped to reduce one-way trade dependence.'

Deputy General Secretary of Maoist Center and former Finance Minister Barshman Pun and Ganga Karki, the group head of the federation, expressed their views on the economic development of the country.
