Prime Minister and UML President KP Sharma Oli has commented that the convention is not coming, but some selfish elements within the party are holding the convention.

On the occasion of the late UML leader Madan Kumar Bhandari's 74th birth anniversary, President Oli said at the launch of the tree planting program organized by the National Youth Union in Chandragiri Municipality-13, Kankali, that those who seek their own interests within the party will be held to account if their target party is Mission-2084 with a single majority.

'We are on mission-2084 campaign with Arjunadrishti. Our interest is the country's prosperity, development and good governance. There is no need to pretend that the convention is not coming when everyone should be united in this mission,' President Oli said, 'Our workers have not come to the convention. It's just that some selfish people have a convention. We should not follow them.'
