Jaspa Nepal withdrew its support to the Lumbini state government

Upendra Yadav-led Jaspa Nepal has withdrawn its support to the Lumbini state government. The support given to the government led by Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya was withdrawn on Friday.

Jaspa has only 1 provincial assembly member in Lumbini province. Jaspa Nepal's parliamentary party leader Ambika Kafle has informed the provincial assembly through a letter that she has withdrawn her support to the Lumbini provincial government in accordance with clause 2 of Article 188 of the Constitution in the provincial assembly on Friday, according to the secretary of the provincial assembly, Durbham Kumar Punamar. The letter of withdrawal of support has been registered in the state assembly.

Chief Minister Acharya was supported by UML, Congress, Civil Immunity, Janmaat, LOSPA and others. 

87-member Lumbini province has 29 members of UML, 27 of Congress, 4 of Civil Immunity, 2 of JSP, 3 of LOSPA, 3 members of Janmat are in support of the government. In opposition, there are 10 members of Maoist, 3 members of RPP, 1/1 member of CPN Samajwadi, Jan Morcha and Jaspa. Janamat Party member Geeta Gurung has been relieved of her post.
