Nagdhunga-Muglin road upgradation work completed?

The work of upgradation has been started by dividing it into three sections and the work of the first layer of the black sheet of the first section under the Nagadhunga-Naubise road section has been completed.

The contract for the 94.66 km road from Nagadhunga to Muglin has been divided into three sections.  1st Nagadhunga-Naubise distance of 12.26 km  In this section, the 12.1 km road has now been completed with the first level of blacktop . In this section, 5.5 km of the second level black sheeting work has been completed . In this section, the road is paved up to the third level. Keshav Prasad Ojha, Head of Eastern Section of Nagadhunga-Muglin Road Plan  He said that the construction work of the remaining layer will be started only after monsoon. According to the official, even if only one layer of black paper is used, the vehicle can be driven. 

In this section, only a hundred meter section of the Jhaple river has not been blacked out . According to the data of the road department, 12,000 vehicles pass through this section every day. According to the office, special nature slab stabilization (earthquake control) work is being done in Jhaple river. Only after the completion of its work will black paper be drawn on that section. According to Ojha, this section falls within the risk zone of landslides. Now, the work of the first level of black paper has been completed on both sides of this section . He said that the overall physical progress of the section is 84 percent.

The contract for the upgrading of Nagadhunga-Naubise road section has been won by Jangsu-Sagun JV for 1.3 billion rupees. According to the construction contract of this package dated 29 Chait 2078, after the work could not be completed by 27 June 2081, the deadline was extended until January 2081, but the work could not be completed as per the target . Again the extended deadline is till 10 July 2082 . But the work will not be completed until July.

Nagadhunga-Muglin Road Project Eastern Section Chief Keshav Prasad Ojha said that a disabled-friendly sky bridge is going to be built for pedestrians in the mine river of this section. "8 out of 9 houses in that place have been demolished," he said, "we are going to build a wheelchair-friendly bridge that can be moved up and down." The

falls in the second section, the Naubise-Malekhu section. Its distance is 43.54 km . 5 billion 331 million 19 million JICG-Sharma-Lama JV has taken its contract . The contract was signed on 14 Baisakh 2079 and the work of this section was supposed to be completed within June 2082, but it was not completed. So far its physical progress is only 42 percent . In this section, 13 km of the road in both directions has a first-level black sheet .

4.7 km from Nagadhunga to Naubise and 17.5 km from Naubise to Malekhu separate 'climbing' lane will be constructed . He said that one lane will be 'climbing' where there are three lanes, and a separate 'climbing' lane will be made for cargo vehicles at the uphill point when coming from Muglin towards Kathmandu. The project said that the climbing lane has been made, which lane will be separated by marking after the completion of the third level of black paper. The

falls into the third section, the Malekhu-Muglin section. The progress of this section of 38.86 km distance is 31 percent . Sharma-JICG has taken the contract for upgrading this section for 4 billion 805 million rupees . According to the agreement signed on 15 December 2079, the work should be completed within December 2082. Kedar Prasad Nepal, head of Nagadhunga-Muglin Road Plan, West Section, said this  He said that 8 km of the section has been blacked out and four lane roads in the market area have been blacked out.
