RSWP has reiterated its demand to form a high-level inquiry committee or a judicial commission to investigate the visit visa case. The government has also said that it is showing its strength by suppressing the demands raised by the RSVP.
In Monday's meeting of the House of Representatives, RSVP MP Shiv Nepali said that human trafficking has taken place through the visit visa. Speaking on behalf of the
party, he said that even though the government and ministers have changed, human traffickers are committing crimes in an organized manner. Is it a crime to raise people's issues? Governments change, ministers change, but why are human traffickers always freed? The heinous organized and international crime of human trafficking has been severely exposed today," Nepali said. "Selling Nepali people abroad in the name of visit visa is not only a crime but also a gross insult to humanity.
This racket seems to be operating under the protection of the state within Nepal. Unfortunately, instead of punishing the criminals, the state is trying to protect them. Why is the government of the two major parties silent on such a serious crime?'
The Nepali MP also questioned whether human traffickers are working under the protection of those in the government through visit visas. He added, 'Why is the government silent on the crime of human trafficking? Why is the demand for the formation of a high-level parliamentary or judicial committee being ignored? Why have you failed in the moral standards set by the Home Minister?'
The Nepali MP added that the party should form a high-level investigation committee or a judicial commission to investigate the visit visa case, adding, 'The government should stop playing the game of showing power by suppressing our voice.'
The RSVP has boycotted the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, demanding a high-level committee or a judicial commission to investigate the visit visa issue. RPP has also boycotted the meeting.
