Congress central member Dr. Shekhar Koirala has emphasized that the convention of the party should be held within November 2083. Addressing the workers' meeting organized by the Congress Tanahun district working committee today, he said that the party convention should be held on the scheduled date.

"I am in favor of the convention of the party should be held on the scheduled date, the longer the convention of the Nepali Congress goes on, it will not benefit the party," he said. Leader Koirala emphasized that there should be a convention before the 2084 general elections.

Leader Koirala asked to move forward thinking about the local, state level and federal elections. Although Tanahun was a strong organizational district of Nepali Congress in the past, it is not the case now, he urged all leaders and workers to think about it.
