An arrest warrant has been issued against the former chairman of the village council and the employee of the surveyor on fraud charges

An arrest warrant has been issued against Arun Shah, the former chairman of Durgabhagavati Rural Municipality of Rautahat, on charges of fraud. After receiving a complaint, the local police office at Garuda in Rautahat obtained an arrest warrant from the District Court Rautahat.

DSP Rajan Karki of Ela Police Garuda said that the police have also obtained arrest warrants from the court against Sanjay Sah, head of the tokha team under survey office Dillibazar in Kathmandu, Vimaladevi Shrestha of Kathmandu Nagarjun-4 and her son Dhiraj Shrestha.

Santosh Kumar Chaudhary of Garuda Municipality-6 Pothiyahi filed a police complaint against them on the charge of defrauding money in land related transactions.

"People including Tokha Napi Chief Sah are involved in buying and selling land illegally," DSP Karki said, "It seems that the victim Santosh has collected 11 million rupees to buy the land." Garuda Police has sent a letter to Kathmandu Police Complex to arrest Tokha Napi chief Sah. Prakash Oli, Acting Head of Surveyor's Office Dillibazar, informed that Chief Surveyor Sah is on leave till June 15th. "We have received a letter that an arrest warrant has been issued against the team leader Shah and he has been asked to appear at the police office," he said. We will tell him about the arrest warrant when he comes back after the holiday.'

After he was cheated, Santosh filed a complaint with the Garuda police saying that the former president of Durgabhagwati Sah had taken 10 million saying that he would return 10 million with interest from surveyor officer Sah.

In 2078, when he was the head of Napi office in Chandrapur, Rautahat, he was also accused of earning a lot of wealth. But there has been no research on it . It was at that time that the chief surveyor Shah and Chaudhary got to know each other . Then Nagarjuna-4 of Kathmandu  Santosh told that there was an agreement to purchase 11 katta 14 dhur land of plot number 773 in Sarlahi Haripur Municipality-7 of Vimaladevi Shrestha in joint investment.

In the beginning, Santosh made 11 million Baina . After the money was not enough to pass the registration, Chief Shah invested and brought the land in his name . According to Santosh, the land was bought and sold for 2 crores. After the said land was sold to four people in 080/081 without the knowledge of Chowdhury, who is said to be a partner, he was reported to the police on the charge of fraud. Santhosh is accused of having spent 1 crore 25 lakhs and being cheated by Chief Shah by passing the land in his own name .

'I am running to the police office for justice right now,' he said, 'I filed a fraud complaint after not hearing anything from Chief Shah when I asked him to return the money.'

The police have arrested the son of Dhiraj after getting the information that the landowner Bimala Shrestha has died. DSP Karki said that he was released a week ago. According to the Garuda Police, Santosh has repeatedly paid Rs 1 crore 4 lakh to the landowner Vimala and her son Dheeraj to purchase the land. He claimed that he invested in other works from filling the land with soil.
