Nepalis in Israel's Beersheba area are safe

The Nepalese working in the 'Betabodh' (Syahar-Susar Center) near the Soroka Medical Center in the southern city of Beersheba, Israel, which was damaged in Iran's missile attack on Thursday morning, are safe.

 

There are 45 Nepali people working in two Betabodhs next to this center. At least 120 Nepalis are working in seven Betabodh in Beersheba area.

According to Bharat KC of Pyuthan, who works in Betabodh, which is about 600 meters away from Soroka Hospital, all the Nepalis are safe.

'The missile fell before we went on duty. At that time, all our friends were sitting inside the bunker,' he said with Ikantipur, 'the missile fell in Beersheba three days later.'

The missile attack reportedly damaged several areas of the hospital, including significant damage to the old surgery building. The hospital is closed for all services except emergencies.

The emergency room is currently treating several minor injuries.

Home Front Command soldiers are now inspecting all the buildings.

Shlomi Kodesh, Director General of Soroka Medical Center, while talking to the local press, said, 'The old surgical ward building of Soroka has been hit by a missile. It is an old building, which was recently vacated.'

'Other buildings of the hospital were extensively damaged. All patients and staff were sheltered. Many of the injured with us have minor injuries,” he added.

President of Non-Resident Nepali Association, Israel Mr. Krishna Bhandari said that he has regular contact with Nepalis in Beersheba area.
