The first meeting of the high-level government reform commission, chaired by the prime minister, was held on Wednesday. In the first meeting chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Singhdarbar, the commission's scope and priorities were discussed.
According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, an introductory discussion was held in the meeting about the purpose of the commission, determination of scope and priority agenda. Political parties, experts and private sector representatives are yet to be nominated in the commission. After the nomination, the second full meeting has been scheduled.
The 15-member commission was formed under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Oli at the meeting of the Council of Ministers on May 8. The Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ajay Kumar Chaurasia and General Administration and Federal Affairs Minister Rajkumar Gupta participated in the commission.
