The Patan High Court has issued an interim order not to implement the suspension of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Chief Rajunath Pandey. Parvati Hitan, information officer of the High Court of Patan, said that the joint bench of Judge Rishi Rajbhandari and Dilliratna Shrestha ordered not to implement the suspension decision on Wednesday and to allow him to work in the same position.

It is said in the order, "without executing the suspended letter, keep the status quo and allow the petitioner to continue working in his position."

Mayor Balendra (Balen) Shah's verbal instructions to prevent Chief Administrative Officer Saroj Guragai from entering the office were asked to clarify 7 points from Pandey. Pandey had submitted an explanation on 12th June. After that, a letter of suspension for 6 months was sent to him on May 20 to investigate.

Pandey filed a writ of impeachment in the higher court on Tuesday against the suspension.
