There is a 45 km long traffic jam here due to the vehicle getting stuck after last night's rain. Since 2 o'clock last night, the vehicle stuck in the mud of Downe could not be removed, and the traffic jam has reached 45 kilometers. Vehicles traveling east-west through Mahendra Highway for 13 hours have stopped here.

There is a 45 km long traffic jam in the area from Bhutaha in West Nawalparasi to Choramara in East Nawalparasi under the Mahendra Highway. Even an ambulance cannot operate in Downe.

Mohandev Nath, who traveled from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi, told that he along with his family and children were trapped in Dumkiwas since 2 o'clock last night. 'There is no government here, what happens in a country with a government? Look at the number of passengers on the highway,' he said, 'I am staying here with a hotel . It has been 7 years since the situation of the Down road section has been like this, government? Passengers had to demonstrate by burning tires on the highway.' 

Due to the rain that fell last night, cars were stuck there when the road was slippery. It is not possible to remove the jam until the highway is dry due to the hot sun. The cargo vehicle stuck on the under-construction bridge near Vishwakarma temple, 3 km west of Dumkiwas, could not leave until 3:30 on Wednesday afternoon.

Since then, there is a long traffic jam from there to Chormara as the diversion that was carried last night in Binayi river in Dumkiwas could not be constructed. District Police Chief Yadav Dhakal informed that vehicles have been stopped at various places in East and West Nawalparasi by placing policemen at various places to prevent traffic jams on the mountain.
