The opposition party RPP has boycotted the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday. RPP boycotted the meeting saying that Speaker Devraj Ghimire conducted the meeting despite the protests.
The RPP had requested not to proceed with the proceedings when there were obstructions in the House. Even though the RSWP protested well and the RPP stood up and protested, Speaker Ghimire continued the meeting of the House of Representatives.
Before that, RPP chief whip Gyan Bahadur Shahi had objected that the parliament meeting was held amid protests. He had also accused of showing bully by conducting a parliament session amid protests.
He said, 'Is it proper to run the parliament like this when there is a movement in the parliament? I think it is not fair. They, as well as us, are the people's representatives won by the people. Everyone should support the demand that the guilty be prosecuted in the case of visit visa. Running parliament like this is not parliamentary practice. This is bullying. Stop bullying.'
