The parliamentary trial of three judges of the Supreme Court and one member of the Judicial Council has started in the meeting of the parliamentary hearing committee held at Singh Darbar on Saturday.

Speaking at the meeting, Ishwaridevi Neupane, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee, proposed to inform the general public about the persons proposed in accordance with Section 12 of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee Procedure, 2080, and to submit any information or complaint to the committee through the government media and electronic media. The motion was unanimously passed by the committee.

Chairperson Neupane said, "If there is any information or complaint regarding the proposed persons according to Section 12 of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee Procedure, 2080, I propose to make the information public through the media." Senior advocate Mahesh Nepal has been recommended as a member of the Judicial Council.

The Judicial Council has recommended senior advocate Meghraj Pokharel, Janakpur High Court Judge Shrikant Paudel and Dipayal High Court Chief Justice Shantisingh Thapa as judges of the Supreme Court.
