Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari will lead the UML from the upcoming convention, standing committee member Khagraj Adhikari has said that the current office bearer has the ability to lead.
Addressing a program organized by Press Chowtari Nepal Gandaki in Pokhara on Saturday, the former Home Minister Adhikari stood in favor of Bhandari not coming under the leadership of UML. Without taking Bhandari's name, he said that the incumbent within the UML after KP Oli is eligible to become the president. "After KP Oli, he has the ability to lead NCP UML as much as anyone in the existing leadership line. Salute to all of them," he said. He said that UML will move forward unitedly.
Interpreting Prime Minister and President KP Oli as the guardian of nationalism, he asserted that Oli is the leader not only of UML but of the entire country.
