Former Prime Minister and Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has clarified that the decision to remove the obstruction of the House of Representatives was not a set-up or a secret agreement. He claimed that the decision to re-run the parliament was taken for the greater good of the country and the people to advance laws and regulations and improve long-term policies.
Talking to the media persons at the Biratnagar Airport on Saturday, he asserted that there was a serious reason behind the opening of the Parliament and said, 'For the benefit of the country and the people, sometimes a decision may be made to move forward and sometimes to retreat. The decision to remove the obstruction of the Parliament was made after the agreement to form an inquiry committee within a month.'
He also said that the government is serious about the visit visa case connected with the Ministry of Home Affairs. This is not just a matter for the Home Minister. It is a serious problem that has been going on for a long time, which requires deep study, structural reforms and policy measures," he said. "The Home Minister has already committed to carry out reforms within a month at the rostrum of the Parliament." He said, 'This agreement was not made to protect any person. It is done with the aim of improving the system.'
