Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has increased 'engagement' with diplomatic activity and it can be expected that good results will come out of the country's foreign relations.
In today's meeting of the International Relations and Tourism Committee of the Federal Parliament, informing about the activities of the Ministry After she was appointed as the foreign minister, she said that she has increased diplomatic activity with Nepal's friendly countries and the world community.
'Diplomacy is a process. It is not even possible to get a return from this today. We are trying to establish our agenda by increasing the participation and involvement of Nepal in the world community, international forums and bilateral and multilateral meetings. I believe the results will be good,' she said.
In response to questions from MPs, the Minister Rana said that by organizing the Everest Dialogue, Nepal, which is facing problems due to climate change, has worked to establish its agenda in this regard in the world community. Minister Rana informed that the action plan passed through the Everest Dialogue will be carried forward in climate-related events to be held in the world from COP 30 onwards. Minister Rana said that the participation of several countries and international organizations including Nepal's neighboring countries India and China in the Everest Dialogue and the commitment to support and help Nepal's agenda is also a diplomatic achievement of Nepal.
He also said that work has been carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Labor regarding Nepalis who are not the labor destination of Nepal and have gone abroad illegally. Minister Rana said that Nepali citizens in any country in the world have been assigned passport and consular service teams for necessary services.
