Two points of agreement between the ruling party and the main opposition regarding the visit visa case, the opposition of RASWPA

The ruling parties UML-Congress and the main opposition Maoists have agreed on two points regarding the opening of the stalled parliament regarding the visit visa case.

According to Maoist Deputy General Secretary Varshman Pun, two points have been agreed to form a suitable mechanism to investigate and study the visit visa issue. With this agreement, there has been an agreement to remove the ongoing obstruction in the House of Representatives.

UML chief whip Mahesh Bertaula from the ruling party and the main opposition Maoist chief whip Hitraj Pandey have signed it .

The opposition RSVP has protested with the agreement of the ruling parties and the main opposition. The House of Representatives has been continuously disrupted since May 13 due to the visit visa issue. The meeting called for 1 pm on Friday has been postponed until 3:15 pm.

RSVP has brought a five-point proposal with demands for the resignation of the Home Minister and a parliamentary inquiry committee on the visit visa issue. Congress and UML have been saying that the proposal cannot be accepted.

This is the 2-point agreement between the three parties

1. The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission is investigating matters related to visit visas and immigration. The Authority Abuse Investigation Commission will bring the matter to a conclusion. The Government of Nepal will provide necessary assistance as requested by the Commission for the investigation regarding the said matter.

2. In order to solve the problems seen in the past in relation to immigration and visit visas, the Government of Nepal will express its commitment to take concrete initiatives to make appropriate arrangements for policy, legal and structural reforms by conducting necessary studies and investigations.
