The Judicial Council has recommended the appointment of the Chief Justice of the High Court. The council meeting held on Friday recommended four judges.
Judge Rajan Prasad Bhattarai (High Court Janakpur, Temporary Bench Birgunj) has been recommended for the Chief Justice of Biratnagar High Court. Judge Lal Bahadur Kunwar (High Court Patan) has been recommended for the appointment of High Court Patan, High Court Tulsipur, Judge Hari Prasad Bhandari (High Court Biratnagar, Temporary Bench Okhaldhunga) for High Court Surkhet and Judge Rajeshwar Tiwari (High Court Tulsipur, Butwal Bench) has been recommended for the appointment of Chief Justice for High Court Tulsipur.
Similarly, the Council has transferred Judge Gokarn Dangi (High Court Dipayal), who is working in the Foreign Employment Tribunal, to the High Court, Janakpur, Temporary Bench Birgajan. The council has also decided to recommend the appointment of Judge Shanta Sedai Sapkota working in the High Court Patan, Hetaunda Bench as the chairman of the tribunal.
