Judges Khushi Prasad Tharu and Arjun Maharjan of the High Court Janakpur, temporary bench Birgunj, who acquitted former Congress MP Mohammad Aftab Alam, were misbehaved. The workers of the CPN (Majority) led by Dharmendra Bastola abused them by splashing black paint in the sitting room at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday.
According to the police, 3 people have been arrested for their involvement in the incident. Among those arrested are Garbhu Mahato of Sirha Golbazar, Padam Bahadur Magar of Sarlahi Barhathwa and Kishore Kumar alias Avinash of Pyuthan. They also did a live broadcast of Moso Chhape on social media. After that, all the three people who left the court were arrested by the police from the court premises.
According to DSP Kishore Lamsal, Information Officer of District Police Office, Parsa, they entered the court saying that they had come on the instructions of the party. After that, the ink in the coffee mug was splashed on the judge. DSP Lamsal said, "They said that they came as per the instructions of the party because they were not satisfied with the judicial process of the judge. The judge was involved in the process of giving orders after hearing the case in regular session." Alam, who was in Nakhkhu Jail in Lalitpur, was released after the order was given by overturning the order of District Court Rautahat. In Rautahat's Rajpur incident, four people, including Alam, were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Rautahat District Court in 2081 Baisakh. Congress leader Alam, his brother Mohammad Mahtab Alam, Sheikh Saraj and Badri Sahni were sentenced to life imprisonment.
