A prisoner serving sentence in Nakhkhu jail has died after slipping while cooking dal. He slipped and fell into a pot of hot lentils in the kitchen while he was imprisoned in the case of dutiful life and forced labor.
According to Jail Administrator Bhimraj Koirala, the accident happened on Sunday morning. He was seriously burnt and was taken to Kirtipur burn hospital for immediate treatment. But Koirala informed Kantipur that he died on Wednesday during treatment.
'There is an internal administration inside the prison,' said Koirala, 'that administration distributes work, he was working in the kitchen.'
The 20-year prison term of the deceased was ending in 2087 The prison has handed over the dead body to the family.
