Former Chief Minister of Koshi Province Sherdhan Rai has said that former President Bidya Devi Bhandari did not do political activities to replace KP Oli. Speaking at a press conference organized by Press Chautari Khotang in Diktel on Wednesday, Rai said that he has not yet heard former President Bhandari say that he will enter active politics and replace Oli.

"Returning to active politics and even replacing party president KP Oli has not been heard yet," said Rai, who walked with Bhandari for 6 days in Koshi province, "but if the party deems it necessary tomorrow, it will become a topic of discussion. If there is a situation that the party insists on, then he (Bhandari) will decide in that regard." Rai also said that it happened.

Rai said that it is relevant to give suggestions to UML and other political parties as well. Rai revealed that he is also communicating with many people on that basis. Rai also asked UML not to be confused as it is making it a target of attacks by encircling it from all sides.

In response to a journalist's inquiry about the UML's opinion about Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar, Rai said, "There is no need to resign if there is a question, it would have been a different matter if someone had filed a complaint and it would have been the subject of an investigation." UML Khotang in-charge Vishal Bhattarai was not present at the full meeting of UML Khotang District Committee and Khotang District Prosperity Picture Workshop held under the chief hospitality of Rai.

UML state committee secretariat member Vinadevi Rai said that she was unable to attend the program because the Kathmandu-Khanidanda flight on Wednesday was cancelled. UML central members Ushakala Rai, Khagendra Rai, UML state committee secretary Dewan Rai, state secretariat member Vinadevi Rai, district president Devvikram Rai and district-based leaders and activists are participating in the program.
