The Department of Water and Meteorology has said that since Wednesday there is a chance of light rain, the temperature will also drop. The Mahashakha has informed that since there has been no rain for some time, the temperature has also increased in most places including the Valley, Terai-Madhes.
Pratima Manandhar, a meteorologist of the division, informed that currently western and central areas of the country are under the influence of western winds and local winds and most of the areas of Koshi province are under the influence of monsoon winds. According to Manandhar, today the maximum temperature in Kathmandu Valley has reached 30 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature in Bhairahawa, Dhangadhi and Nepalgunj has reached 41 degrees Celsius. Similarly, today the maximum temperature of Dipayal has reached 39 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature of Simra, Janakpur, Biratnagar has reached 38 degrees Celsius.
Division forecasting the weather until Wednesday morning has said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning in a few places of Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in the hilly areas of the rest of the province and there is a possibility of light rain/snowfall in one or two places in the high-mountainous and Himalayan areas of the country, which will affect people's life, agriculture, health, road and air traffic. Therefore, the department has requested to take necessary preparations and vigilance to avoid possible risks and impacts.
