A person involved in the vandalism of the Tribhuvan University Vice-Chancellor's office was arrested by the police on Tuesday. Spokesman of Kathmandu Police Complex SP Apilraj Bohra said that Dikpal Karki was arrested from Sanothimi in Bhaktapur.

There was a complaint of vandalism by a group. We have caught it from Bhaktapur and brought it. Now the process of the case will proceed. We are preparing to extend the deadline," SP Bohra said.

The elected officers of the ruling Congress close to the Navy Sangh, including the president of Swaviyu, vandalized the office of the vice chancellor Khadg KC on 14th June. The Executive Council of Tertiary University filed a complaint in Kirtipur Police Circle to take action against those who vandalized and damaged public property. But the Circle wrote to the University saying that Kitani Jaheri is necessary.

The home administration was criticized for not taking action because the students of the ruling party were involved in vandalism. Karki Sanothimi, who was arrested, is an activist of the campus. It has been found that the students of Sankardev, Saraswati, Public Youth, Sanothimi and other campuses are involved in vandalism.
