Seap Mela has been going on since May 7 in Tundikhel of Kathmandu. Where there is an attraction from the youth to the old age of learning skills. In the 'Skill Fair 2082' organized by the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, 37 professions related to 10 different sectors are being trained. This skill fair, which the metropolis has provided free training to increase employment and income, has attracted everyone from students who have just completed their class 12 exams.

Karan Gahatraj from Satungal, Kathmandu has recently given his class 12 exam. Karan, who studied science, is taking training in light vehicle mechanics in the light vehicle automobile sector. Explaining the reason for participating in the skill fair, he said, "This is something that will come in handy later on. Here, I am getting an opportunity to learn how to fix the bike that I am riding if it breaks down, and to know what the parts are." In addition, he says that such training will increase his ability.  In the

fair, not only students like Karan, who have passed their recent school exams, but also those above 50 years of age have come to learn skills . Among them is 57-year-old Rajkumar Adhikari . He is from Kawasoti Nawalparasi . He is taking training in astrology and priestly profession under art and culture field . "Bahun Paryo". They sometimes call for prayers in the neighborhood,' he said, 'but I don't feel well.' I have come to know that priestly skills are also being taught in this fair.' "Now you can't learn anything else," he added, expressing his compulsion, "He came here to master the work he has been doing for a while."

The metropolis has continued the job fair that was conducted last year as well this year. Engineer Shailendra Jha, the coordinator of the Skill Mela Implementation Committee, says that the metropolis has continued the Skill Mela with the goal of increasing self-employment and employment.

In the skill fair, the metropolis has invited the age group of 18 to 58 years for skills . But some people over 58 years of age have been made to participate in the skill based on their request. "In others, we did not allow people over 58 years of age to participate," he said, "but in this astrology category, as some people requested us, we made 3/4 people participate."

Mahanagara is conducting skill training in 10 areas including Construction, Hospitality and Service, ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and Electronics, Art and Culture, Agriculture, Garment, Automobile, Mechanical, Electronics and Spatial Ability Skills.

Lakshmi Gautam, who is taking training in digital marketing under the ICT sector, said that she learned a lot about the use of digital platforms at the skill fair. "I always wanted to do something in digital marketing," she said. Which I didn't know.' Even after the training, she also told that she plans to pursue her career in digital marketing. 

Similarly, Safal Bista, who is learning light vehicle skills at the fair, also believes that not only education but also skills will get you a job. That is why he came to the skill fair after the end of the 12th exam. "It's not just about studying now," says 18-year-old Safal, "That's why I came here to get skilled training." In the

skill fair, drone pilot, saber security, and AI training are also being conducted. Trainers say that this training, which is learned by spending thousands of rupees outside, is conducted free of charge at the skill fair conducted by the metropolis.

Trainer Manis Sharma, who is training on drone piloting, says that there is a good future in this field . There are many opportunities in this. Because now the time has come," he said, "if there is a landslide somewhere, we can deliver relief materials through drones. If there is a fire in some place, we can use it to put out the fire with drones. Similarly, drones are also coming with new technology and if you can fly them with training, you can earn money through this. 

"The participants in the training are very interested in this," he said, "Here we are teaching a three-week course." In addition, we also do its practical.' 

Similarly, Pujan Pant, an AI and application trainer, says that it is necessary to know about AI, i.e. artificial intelligence, as it is being used now. Before the training, everyone had a general understanding of AI, but in the class, training was given from its basics to its use, he said. In the future, the use of AI is increasing. Also, the risk is also the same," he said, "It is a helper of man, but its wrong use brings risk . This skill fair is useful for its correct use and benefits.' He said that in the first week information was given about AI and then training was given on its application use. 

More than 3500 applied for this skill fair. But due to the limited capacity, the city has allowed more than 2500 people to participate in the skill fair. Jha, the coordinator of the fair, said that the private sector has also cooperated in the skill fair, which will run from 7th to 30 days.
