Study, discipline, hard work and honesty are the success formulas of 27-year-old Subhash Kumar Sah. He has confirmed this formula by passing five public service exams in the same year. Dhanusa's Mithila Vihari-3 Mithileshwar Mauvahi's brother gave the most importance to studies from his childhood.
Having completed his certificate level education from the community school in the village, he planned to study engineering. After seeing many people studying engineering in the village, I also became interested. When I was in class 8, I dreamed of weaving," he says, "My family also helped me. Getting first class in SLC gave me courage to continue my studies.'
Subhash, who has a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Biratnagar's Manmohan Memorial Polytechnic, has done a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Kathmandu City College. The course was completed a year late due to Corona. He completed his academic studies in 2078. Then He focused on public service preparation.
In 2081, when he took the exam for government jobs in 10 places, he managed to get his name in five places. I also had faith,'' he said, 'that's why I participated in all the exams I knew.''
He started his job at Kosi Province Police Office. Before that, he participated in the written examination conducted by Public Service Commission of Gandaki Province on 29 Baisakh 2081. When the results were published on 12th July 2081 for the post of 4th level assistant assistant engineer, he was also successful in that .
On 18 June 2081, Assistant Civil Engineer took the fifth level exam at Nepal Civil Aviation Authority. Passed the senior assistant post in the said exam. On 24th July 2081, he was named as assistant sub-engineer at the fifth level of Gandaki State Public Service Commission. Even though the result was published on October 25 of the same year, he was successful in the position of Assistant Engineer taken by the Public Service Commission Pokhara on May 5, 2081.
Subhash is currently working in the Kosi State Police Office. He has named Assistant Civil Engineer at the fifth level in Nepal Civil Aviation Authority. However, since there is no recommendation from here, he is working in the Kosi Province Police Office as a sub-inspector. "There is no recommendation yet." If I get a good offer, I will go,' he said, 'I have not decided whether to go or not to go.'
Subhash has three brothers. Dai Chandankumar Sah is also preparing for public service after completing engineering with a job in a private company. Bhai Govind Kumar Sah is in Japan for further studies along with his job as a Diploma in Civil Overseer . Her mother Rajodevi Sah is a housewife and her father Ramsagar Sah has been working as a 'haluwai' (cooking) in the village.
Ramsagar said that he taught his three sons by operating a snack shop. I am happy to see the progress of my sons. You get satisfaction,'' he said, ``It feels like you have got the fruits of past hard work and investment.'' According to Ramsagar, there was a financial crisis at home before starting the breakfast shop.
When regular income did not come, there was also a problem for household expenses . He said that since his sons' studies may also be affected, he operated a snack shop with tea to earn regular income. "At that time, all three sons were studying in a government school in the village," he said, "but they had to pay for books and copies." That's why I started a snack shop .'
He proudly told that his elder son Chandan and younger son Govinda studied on full scholarship. He said that there is no financial problem for education as two sons are studying with scholarships. Ramsagar said that he is living in a small house to teach his son. "My house is on three floors," he said, "two rooms are downstairs and two upstairs." That's why he said that his dreams and his sons have reached the right place.
