The meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned until 2 pm on Monday. On Sunday, the meeting started at 6:30 pm after moving several times.

As soon as Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced the start of the meeting, opposition parties and some ruling party MPs stood up. After the speaker asked the MPs to sit down to run the house, but they refused to sit down, the speaker adjourned the meeting till noon on May 26.

The opposition parties have been obstructing the Parliament by demanding that the Home Minister Ramesh Akhtar should resign and form an inquiry committee regarding human trafficking through visit visas.
