Around 40 Nepalis who were deported from America are going to arrive in Nepal this afternoon. According to the Tribhuvan International Airport Immigration Office, the ship is about to arrive in Nepal leaving the citizens of other countries who have been deported.

Anjan Neupane, the spokesperson of immigration at Tribhuvan International Airport, said that the charter plane that is Nepali  He said that he is scheduled to arrive in Nepal around 4:15 pm. 140 Nepalis have already been deported from the US since President Donald Trump assumed the second term of the US.

In the third week of February, the US returned 8 Nepalis through a chartered plane . Some of the returnees told the Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau that they crossed the border of 12 countries illegally and reached America.

Two days after the start of Trump's second term, that is, from January 22, the United States launched a campaign to deport immigrants living without official documents. 

The Trump administration has launched a campaign to arrest and deport undocumented immigrants, including Nepal, through 'Immigration and Customs Enforcement' (ICE). Earlier, 140 Nepalis were expelled from America from 2021 to 2024. According to the Immigration Department, 38 Nepalis were deported by the US in 2021, 24 in 2022, 25 in 2023 and 53 in 2024.

Ice is deporting those who have received the final order for deportation but have not been arrested until November 24.
